The Levin Aquatic Centre is situated in the beautiful Gladys Taylor Park surrounded by palm trees, just opposite Levin’s skate park. Our fantastic facility includes three indoor pools. It also includes a 70m enclosed hydroslide, hydrotherapy and a convenient outdoor picnic area with cooking facilities.

Set in amongst trees in the middle of Levin is a family park with a bright and cheerful under five’s play area and a variety of play equipment for all ages – including tumbling drums, ropes course, climbing wall, fitness trail, mini-ball court, skating area, sand volleyball court, disability swings, Bocce courts and a separate dog rest/exercise area. There are free model train rides from 1pm – 3pm weekends and holidays.

Shannon Railway Station is a station on the North Island Main Trunk serving Shannon in the Horowhenua District. It is served by the Capital Connection long distance commuter train between Wellington and Palmerston North. A simple Class 6 or flag station type building was opened by the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company (WMR) in 1886 as an intermediate station on the Wellington-Manawatu Line. In 1893 the original station building was moved to Paraparaumu and replaced by a WMR Class Four building.

De Molen, Foxton’s iconic Dutch Windmill

This full size operating Dutch Windmill is open to the public allowing visitors to experience a little of Holland. Tour the upper levels and working parts of the Mill. Souvenirs and "milled flours" are available for purchase. De Molen is a marvellous example of traditional Dutch, 17th century craftsmanship. Visitors who able to climb the stairs will be conducted through the mill to see it in action. Those unable to mount the stairs can watch the proceedings from the ground floor by means of an in house video system. Wholemeal wheat flour can be bought at the mill, alongside a wide range of souvenirs.
